Foxes Trip to Northney Farm

17th June 2019

As part of our “Where does our food come from” topic next half term, we are planning a trip to Northney Farm on Monday 17th June.   This is a brilliant opportunity for the children to learn about the process of getting milk from a cow to bottles in the fridge.

Each Year R class will be attending on a different day but the whole year group will get to participate in this wonderful experience.

The children will travel by a minibus which is fitted with seatbelts.  All children will require a packed lunch (no chocolate or sweets) in a named, plastic disposable carrier bag, rather than their normal lunch box, as everything can then be thrown away.  Please ensure there is a drink included for lunchtime, as well as a drink for during the day (no fizzy drinks).  If you would like HC3S to provide a packed lunch for your child (free of charge), please indicate this on the slip below.

We shall be leaving school by 9.15am and return in time for children to be collected from their classrooms as usual.  They will not need any spending money and will not need to bring their book bags to school on the day.

The children need to wear school uniform with sensible footwear and a coat appropriate for the day’s weather.

We have negotiated to obtain the best price possible for the Minibus and with the £1 contribution to the farm (which includes an Ice Cream at the end of the tour), we are asking you for a voluntary contribution of £3.75 per child.  We do hope you recognise this is very good value and hope you will be able to support us with meeting the cost of the trip. If sufficient contributions are not paid, we will have to cancel the trip and return any monies paid.

Please make payment by Monday 11th June at the very latest, and once you have done so return the permission slip.
